What is Mesotherapy?

There are many types of cosmetic procedures available today that can treat a whole host of conditions and concerns. The aging process can bring effects with it that many do not like, including wrinkles, excessive fat and sagging skin. Cellulite is another concern of many women and until now, there were few good solutions for the treating this unsightly condition. However, all that has changed with the introduction of a particular medical procedure that is non-invasive and fairly effective.

Mesotherapy involves injecting a combination of homeopathic and traditional medicines and vitamins into the affected area. Some of the most common places where mesotherapy is done include the typical places where cellulite lurks, like the buttocks and thighs, and areas where fat accumulates, like the chin, abdomen and arms. Other areas where sagging skin is found can also be successfully treated with this procedure.

These treatments will show results within a matter of weeks, and the more treatments that are done, the better the results. Doctors will often recommend 10-15 treatments for maximum benefit. The only side effect that has been associated with this procedure is some heaviness or discomfort at the point of the injection. There is not really a recovery time required after this procedure since it is non-invasive in nature.

Mesotherapy is a good choice for anyone who is interested in getting rid of cellulite or excess fat without an invasive procedure. It is a good idea to check with a doctor who specializes in this procedure to see if this treatment is the right choice.
